Brothers arraigned on drug-related charges

LISBON - Three Cleveland brothers who have been under the eye of the Columbiana County Drug Task Force appeared by video arraignment in county Municipal Court on Monday on drug-related charges.

DTF Director Brian McLaughlin said the department had a search warrant for the home and vehicle of Anthony "Rob" L. Jackson, 26, Allen "Keith" C. Jackson, 21, and Tremaine "T" A. Jackson, 24.

On Saturday, the three men were stopped by authorities in front of Gorby's Groceries in Negley. Agents reportedly found guns, cash, heroin and marijuana in the three men's possession.

McLaughlin said additional charges are pending against the three men for the items found in their possession on Saturday.

For the time being, the three are each being charged with trafficking in drugs from alleged previous dealings with undercover agents from the DTF last summer.

A Feb. 3 preliminary hearing was set for each of the brothers. Bond was set at $250,000 cash/surety each.

According to court documents, those charges stem from the three men allegedly selling heroin and crack cocaine out of a home on state Route 518 in Wayne Township. Undercover agents reportedly purchased one or the other of the drugs from Allen Jackson on July 17, Anthony Jackson on July 18 and Tremaine Jackson on July 22.

McLaughlin said the three were known to be "flipping houses" in Columbiana County. Following the purchases, agents continued to watch the men, leading to their apprehension on Saturday night in Negley.
