Maxine F. Echard

COLUMBIANA - Maxine F. Echard, 90, died Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Alzheimer Center in Columbiana.

Born June 21, 1923, in Pawnee, Neb., she was the daughter of Robert and Della (Pummel) Vollnogle.

Mrs. Echard was a substitute mail carrier for the USPS and also a mural painter, having painted murals on walls in numerous churches in the area. She was a member of Trinity Friends Church in Lisbon.

Survivors include two sons, Robert (Linda) Echard of Salem and Dave (Barbara) Echard of Leetonia; a brother, Kenneth (Alice Mae) Vollnogle of Lisbon; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death on Jan. 9, 1990, by her husband, Walter, whom she married on Aug. 23, 1947; and a son Jack.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Pastor Richard Jones of the church officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
