Library hosting antiques appraisal

LEETONIA- The Leetonia Community Public Library will host an antiques appraisal program at 6 p.m. Feb. 10. Dave Dangerfield, certified appraiser, and Donna and Bill Gray, authors of "Harker Pottery: From Rockingham and Yellowware to Modern," will be looking over the antiques.

Those wishing to attend are encouraged to register by calling 330-427-6635, but it is not necessary. There is a three item limit.

Gold Wing Road Riders will meet

BOARDMAN - Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter M of the Mahoning Valley will hold its monthly meeting at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Yankee Kitchen, 6635 Market St. All motorcycle enthusiasts and their families are welcome.

Budget Commission will meet Feb. 3

LISBON - The Columbiana County Budget Commission meeting begins at 10 a.m. Feb. 3 in the auditor's conference room on the main floor of the courthouse.

SAVNA administering flu vaccine

SALEM - The Salem Area Visiting Nurse Association (SAVNA) at 718 E. Third St. is offering the flu vaccine. Flu shots are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. No appointment is necessary. Cost is $25. SAVNA will bill Medicare Part B or Anthem Senior Advantage Products (YRA, YRE, YRI and YRS prefixes only). Bring your insurance card with you.

EP schedules parent-teacher conferences

EAST PALESTINE - East Palestine High School and Middle School will hold parent-teacher conferences from 1:15 to 8 p.m. Feb. 13. Parents are encouraged to call the high school at 330-426-5400 or the middle school at 330-426-9451 to schedule a conference. Students will be released early at 12:55 p.m.

Way Station opening in East Liverpool

EAST LIVERPOOL - The Way Station of Columbiana County, a faith based non-profit ministry, will re-open its East Liverpool site at 10 a.m. Feb. 4 at 125 W. Fifth St. The site includes a thrift store with household items and clothing.

If a household meets the qualifications they may purchase clothing for 25 cents per item (limited to 100 items per month). The food distribution will continue from noon to 2 p.m. the fourth Thursday of the month.

Donations will be accepted by appointment and be approved by a staff member. The site will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Questions may be directed to the Columbiana site at 330-482-5072 until Feb. 4.
