Corum “Bill” William Manzi

East Palestine - Corum "Bill" William Manzi, age 86, of New Waterford, died on Sunday at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, East Palestine.

He was born on Oct. 16, 1927 in East Palestine, a son of the late James and Muriel Colegrove Manzi.

Corum was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during WWII. He had worked as an assistant foreman for 20 years at Columbiana Boiler as well as delivering milk for Raymond Lindsay Dairy, East Palestine, for 23 years. Corum was a member of the New Waterford United Methodist Church. He served as clerk-treasurer for the village of New Waterford for eight years.

His wife, Frances Mae Hollabaugh Manzi, whom he married on Oct. 16, 1946, preceded him in death on May 2, 2013. He is survived by two sons, Gary W. (Sue) Manzi of Columbiana and Robert C. (Patricia) Manzi of New Waterford; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Corum was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Greenwood.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Terry Brown officiating. Services will conclude Tuesday evening with a Masonic service by the East Palestine Lodge at 6:30 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Tuesday evening. Burial will be in New Waterford Cemetery.
