SALEM- Wilbur Joseph Goetz, 56, of Leetonia, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at his home. He was born July 1, 1957, in Salem, a son of William J. Goetz and the late Dorothy J. (McCullough) Goetz.
Before his retirement on July 1, 2012, Wilbur had been employed with the City of Rock Hill in South Carolina. He lived in Rock Hill for 27 years. He was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion Post #131 in Leetonia.
A daughter, Jerelene Louise Goetz, and a brother, Samual Goetz, preceded him in death.
His wife, Darlinda S. (Garcia) Goetz, whom he married Aug. 12, 1978, survives him along with his father, William Goetz of Leetonia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at the Hope Cemetery Chapel. Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the Hope Cemetery Chapel. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
