- Firefighters responded to a fire alarm activation at 10:15 p.m. Monday at CMI Epco, 435 W. Wilson St., but found no problems. The building was searched and the alarm reset.

- An unknown substance was found burning in a one-gallon paint can about 5 feet from the Davidson building, 515 Prospect St., at 9:26 p.m. Monday. The fire was extinguished.


- Firefighters provided traffic control for a vehicle accident on state Route 558 near Woodville Road at 8:37 a.m. Monday. At 11:52 a.m. the department responded to a smoke alarm at a state Route 558 home, and at 2:44 p.m. responded to a report of black smoke on Columbiana-Lisbon Road north of state Route 558.
