Grace Lutheran Church food pantry will be open Dec. 18

EAST PALESTINE - The food pantry at the Grace Lutheran Church will be open from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday for East Palestine School District residents.

Pancake-plus breakfast will be served today at New Waterford United Methodist

NEW WATERFORD - The pancake-plus breakfast will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. today at the New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 S. State St. Donations will be accepted.

Christmas Cantata at Emmanuel Lutheran will be performed today, Sunday

SALEM - The Christmas Cantata at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 251 S. Broadway Ave., will be performed at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and at 10:30 a.m. Sunday by the Senior and Bell Choirs.

This year's selection is "He's Still the King of Kings," featuring well known hymns, narrations and songs telling of our Savior's birth, shepherds visiting, angels singing and finally, "Joy to the World!" The community is invited to attend.

An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served today at North Benton Presbyterian

NORTH BENTON - An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 7:30-11 a.m. today at the North Benton Presbyterian Church.

Cost is $6,50 for adults and $3.50 for children ages 6-12. Children under 6 are free.

Bethel United Church of Christ Choir will present cantata on Dec. 22

BELOIT - The Bethel United Church of Christ Choir will present the cantata, "All is Well," at 10 a.m. Dec. 22 at the church, 25701 Buck Road.

This Christmas cantata by Michael Barrett and David Angerman blends traditional carols with some contemporary Christian selections in praise and worship.

The Bethel Choir encompasses the youth and adult choirs of over 30 voices. For further information call 330-525-7330.

'Christmas Home &?Craft Show and Cookie Walk' is today in Damascus

DAMASCUS - "Christmas Home &?Craft Show and Cookie Walk" will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today at the Damascus United Methodist Church, 300 Valley Road, a quarter-mile south of U.S. Route 62.

For additional parking there will be free hayrides during the craft show from Damascus Friends Church to United Methodist Church.

Leetonia United Methodist Church hosting monthly chicken drive-by

LEETONIA - The Leetonia United Methodist Church at 50 Lisbon St. will host its monthly chicken drive-by from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 19, or until sold out.

The meal includes a stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. Cost is $7. Proceeds are used for the new roof at the church.

Rally in the Valley 2014 men's breakfast meeting will be held at Das Dutch Haus

COLUMBIANA - The Rally in the Valley 2014 men's breakfast meeting begins at 8 a.m. Dec. 21 at Das Dutch Haus.

The day's honoree is Dick Hartzell. Mark Hoobler will speak with special music presented by Mary Ann Hoobler. Those attending are asked to bring canned food for the Four C's food pantry in New Waterford.

Springfield Emmanuel Lutheran Church choir will perform 'Behold the Star'

NEW SPRINGFIELD - The choir at the Springfield Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Route 165 will present a Christmas cantata titled "Behold the Star, A Christmas Journey to the Light of Christ" at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 21.

The choir has been together for 30 years and is directed by Karen Chikosky.

A catered dinner follows in the social center. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children ages 4 to 12. Reservations are required by calling Pastor Aimee Raymond at 330-337-3125. The public is welcome.

Children's choir of Damascus United Methodist Church will perform Sunday

DAMASCUS - The children's choir of the Damascus United Methodist Church will present the musical, "An Out of the Box Christmas" at 10:10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday.

The evening program will include a presentation of new Christmas toys to the Salvation Army and a cookie and punch reception.

The church is located at 300 Valley Road. The public is invited to attend.

Trinity Church collecting new or used blankets, donations for distribution

EAST LIVERPOOL - Trinity Church is collecting new or used blankets or monetary donation to buy blankets to help area children keep warm this winter.

Blankets may be brought to the church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday and Saturday; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday; or mail a check to Trinity Church, 110 Maine Blvd., P.O. 'The Sounds of His Love' will be performed by Allegheny Wesleyan College Choir

Sebring Friends Church hosting Christmas drive-thru today

SEBRING - Sebring Friends Church, located at 615 Johnson Road, is hosting a Christmas drive-thru from 6-8 p.m. today.

The drive-thru will begin off of Johnson Road. It will go north past the old meeting house. There will be carolers, angels, wise men, shepherds and a nativity scene. CDs will be provided to listen to.
