So very thankful for this community!
To the editor:
Every year, many donate to help others in the community. Many donate here to the Salvation Army. And many receive help because of these great donors.
As we make our way through the holiday season, we cannot even begin to express how thankful we are for those in the community who help make a difference for those in need. From businesses, churches, organizations and individuals so many give to help make a difference. Recently The Ronald McDonald House Charities provided 400 coats for children in need in Columbiana County, the Salem Rotary Club purchased 66 coats for kids in need, a local donor provided us with funds to purchase turkeys and pies for over 200 families in need for Thanksgiving, and now others are giving to help us provide Christmas for those in need.
We have community groups and individuals ringing bells at our red kettles, others purchasing gifts to provide Christmas cheer to children, and others donating funds to make all of this possible.
We want to personally thank each and every one who has given of their time, effort, and funds to assist us as we help others this holiday season! Thank you all so much! You are a blessing to others!
