EAST PALESTINE- Samuel R. Bailey, 62, of Pioneer Road, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Boardman campus in Youngstown.
Mr. Bailey was born June 2, 1951, in Rochester, Pa., a son of the late Samuel E. Bailey and Lillian D. Weekly Bailey Estamyer, and had resided in the Negley area for the past 23 years, coming from South Beaver Township, Beaver Co., Pa. Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a freight hauler, driving with various companies.
He is survived by three sons, Terry Bailey of Negley, Nick Henderson of East Liverpool and Mike Henderson of Rogers; two daughters, Summer Bailey of Darlington, Pa., and Sarah Virdin of Rogers.; and 14 grandchildren. Mr. Bailey also leaves two brothers, Carl Bailey of Indiana and Timothy Bailey, Hopewell, Pa.; and five sisters, Mary White of Washington, Oregon, Diana Wood of South Carolina, Debbie White of Wisconsin and Kimberly Roberts and Lillian Berchtold, both of Beaver Falls, Pa.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry, Pa. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
