- Amy Cooper, Metz Road, New Waterford, reported Monday receiving harassing text messages and calls from her ex-husband despite him being asked to stop. A deputy spoke with Mr. Cooper, who said he had contacted her about their children and denied harassing her. He was told to quit contacting her.

- Gilbert Barth Jr., Robert Road, Lisbon, accidentally shot himself in the finger while cleaning his .32-caliber semi-automatic handgun in his basement on Monday.

- A state Route 45, Madison Township, woman reported Monday a man claiming to be with the IRS called and told her she must send him $1,500 within 15 minutes or her home would be seized and she would be arrested.

- Jean Bookman, Smith Road, Negley, reported Monday her daughter's fiance put two holes in her living room wall after becoming upset because she refused to sign a land contract.

- Jason Grindle, Woodsdale Road, Hanoverton, reported Monday that Brandi Finch and Dale Dyke made some threats about his rental property on state Route 7 in Madison Township. The couple suggested perhaps they should remove the new parts they installed on the stove before moving out and take a saw to the wall because of all of the work they performed on the residence. The parties were advised this was a civil dispute.

-A deputy was called to a home on state Route 45, Madison Township, at 5:20 p.m. Monday after a mother reported her 14-year-old daughter locked herself in a camper. A deputy spoke with the daughter, who said she only wanted to sleep in the camper rather than share a bed with her mother, and her mother said that was fine.
