- Jason Bridge, Wisner Road, Hanoverton, reported at 4:08 a.m. Friday that his girlfriend hit him in the head with a frying pan. His girlfriend, Kimberly Craig, said Bridge was sleeping when she mistook Code Red Mountain Dew seeping from his mouth as blood and woke him out of concern. She said Bridge responded by taking a swing at her, and she defended herself. Both parties appeared intoxicated and neither wished to pursue charges.

- A 17-year-old boy who lives at the Twin Oaks Trailer Court in Lisbon reported Tuesday getting into an argument with his sister and mother, and he was afraid to return home because he will end up at the county juvenile detention center. He was taken by the deputy to his home without any further problem.

- Brett Schultz, Brookdale Avenue, East Palestine, reported arriving home from work before 5 p.m. Thursday to discover his home had been broken into through his son's bedroom window and the home was ransacked.

- A deputy was asked to check on the well being of a resident who lives on Hamilton Road, East Palestine, at 4:24 p.m. Thursday. The deputy spoke with the person, who said she was fine.

- A deputy and East Palestine police responded to a report of a man threatening to jump into traffic on Carbon Hill Road, Unity Township, at 9:29 p.m. Thursday. The deputy came across the suspect walking along the road, who was bloody from striking himself in the head with a shovel. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital to be examined.

- Steve Watters II, 35, of Rogers, was charged Thursday with burglary after showing up at the home of Megan Mercer, state Route 7, New Waterford, and asking if they could talk. Watters then allegedly grabbed Mercer by the arm and tried to stick her with a syringe and then grabbed Mercer by the face and threatened to shoot her in the mouth. Mercer struck Watters and fled back into the home.
