LISBON - An Irondale woman has been indicted on felonious assault charges for reportedly stabbing an East Liverpool man while intervening in a domestic dispute.

Megan G. Wilson, 26, was served Thursday with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County grand jury charging her with felonious assault in the Oct. 6 attack on Christopher Charles, 25, Grant Street, East Liverpool.

The attack occurred at Charles' home when he was reportedly stabbed multiple times by Wilson, who said she was intervening to stop a domestic dispute between Charles and his girlfriend, Mallory Stowers.

Wilson told police Charles began assaulting her, so she pulled out the knife she carries for protection and began stabbing him in self defense.

Charles suffered stab wounds to the face and torso, including a lung injury.
