Negley woman pleads to charges

LISBON - Melinda S. Schroeder, 30, Richardson Avenue, Negley, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to receiving stolen property and possession of drugs. She was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction and sentenced to a five-year treatment plan under intensive supervision of the probation department.

According to court documents, Schroeder pawned wedding rings valued at $2,700 at Cashland in Columbiana on May 29, 2012. The rings belonged to Michelle Hughes. Additionally, she had heroin in her possession on June 20, 2012.

Thomas E. Holman, 33, Hammond School Road, Wellsville, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. He faces up to 12 months in prison, a $2,500 fine and a five-year license suspension. Sentencing was set for Feb. 7.
