Man pleads guilty to marijuana possession

LISBON - In Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, Paul K. Donavich, no address listed, pleaded guilty to prosecutor's information on a charge of possession of marijuana with a forfeiture specification charge. He faces up to 18 months in prison and a six-month license suspension. Sentencing is set for Jan. 10.

Derrick J. Salsberry, 31, East End Road, Salineville, was sentenced to nine months in prison after he was found in violation of his probation for trafficking in drugs. Salsberry was selling or offering for sale between 10 and 50 doses of heroin on Sept. 29, 2009. Salsberry was granted credit for 19 days already served.

Ronald E. Corey, 36, Ambrose Avenue, East Liverpool, was sentenced to nine months in prison after stipulating to violating his probation on a breaking and entering charge. Corey trespassed in The Locker Room on Market Street in East Liverpool on Dec. 10, 2008. He was credited with 192 days already served.

George L. Taylor, 34, Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool, was sentenced to eight months in prison after stipulating to violating his probation on charges of breaking and entering and receiving stolen property for breaking into a trailer on Lusk Lock Road and taking engine parts and scrap metal. He was credited with 149 days served.

Randy T. Arndt, 26, Ninth Street, Wellsville, was ordered to spend up to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correctional Center after he stipulated to violating the terms of his probation for two counts of receiving stolen property after he reportedly used two stolen checks on the account of Karen Madden in 2010.
