34West to present holiday show

COLUMBIANA-34west Theater kicks off the holiday season with the front porch comedy "Jimmy D'S Holly Jolly Christmas" Nov. 29 through Dec. 21, with additional weekday matinees throughout, at Das Dutch Village Inn.

The Nutmeg Twins are comin' to town and guess who's in love? Jimmy D and the gang hit the airwaves during the biggest Christmas barn party in town. But will he finally meet the woman of his dreams?

Through rapid quick changes and slapstick comedy, 34west delivers another high-energy show chock full of laughs.

"You can't help but fall in love with every family member," states playwright and actor Stephen Wayne. "They're the offbeat distant cousins you wish you had."

Known for creating original comedies with a lot of heart, 34west always focuses on the positive. Wayne quips, "The holidays are a wonderful time to laugh your keister off."

Wayne stars as radio host Uncle Dwight with Jeff Querin, Magdalyn Donnelly and Nathan Gurr rounding out the cast. Each actor plays multiple roles and contributes musically, as well.

"You'll even see us break out a banjo here and there," states Wayne.

Das Dutch Village Inn provides a four-course meal featuring a buffet style dinner with three entrees, assorted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Also included in the meal are a variety of fine desserts and a low-sugar option. Groups can sit eight or ten persons to a table, which makes for great enjoyment with friends and family throughout the evening. All dinner theaters are held in the elegant banquet center of Das Dutch Village Inn of Columbiana, 150 E. state Route 14. Seating for evening shows begins at 6:45 p.m. with a four-course meal beginning at 7 p.m. Seating for matinees begins at 11:45 p.m. with a four-course meal at noon.
