LISBON- Fredrick H. Bach, 82, of Megan Place, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Friday at UPMC in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Bach was born June 7, 1931, in Millport, Ohio, a son of the late Carl A. and Julie Marie (Householder) Bach.
Fred was a career heavy equipment operator in the U.S. Marine Corps and had served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce (Howard) Bach, whom he married March 27, 1954; daughters, Robin "Bunny" Fountain of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Sherrie (Dennis) Vaughn of Russellville, Ky.; sister, Peggy Lowery of Columbiana; brother, Bill Bach of Hanoverton; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Fredrick Bach Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert E. DeLong and the Rev. Greg Pennington officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
