EAST PALESTINE - Essie O. Hulton, 101, formerly of Bacon Avenue, East Palestine, died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday at the St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana.
Born Feb. 9, 1912, in Negley, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Hallie (Greer) Dyke.
Mrs. Hulton had been employed as a sewer at the former Kenmar Manufacturing. She had been a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
Her husband, W. Park Hulton, whom she married June 15, 1929, died Jan. 23, 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Ellis of East Palestine; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark McTrustry officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
