ELLSWORTH - Bernita Rose Jones Scurich, 84, died Monday morning, in her sleep of natural causes.
Born Sept. 25, 1928, in Ellsworth, she was the daughter of Henry and Elsie (Barnett) Jones.
She was preceded in death in 1995 by her husband, Frank Scurich, whom she married on Aug. 9, 1958.
Mrs. Scurich was employed at Farmers National Bank in Canfield for 43 years until her retirement. She also served as a notary public. She was a lifelong member and deacon of the Canfield Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two children, Amy McSweeney (Jim) of Denton, Texas, and Thomas (Kelly) of Boardman; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel, and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. A service of worship and celebration of her life begins at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Ellsworth Cemetery.
