Washingtonville man pleads guilty to domestic violence

LISBON - Daniel S. Bussard, 35, West Main Street, Washingtonville, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Sentencing is set for Nov. 14, when he faces up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine.

According to court documents, Bussard, and his wife, Ciara Bussard, were involved in a fight at their home on March 9, 2013, which led to his wife having lumps on her forehead and above her left ear. Additionally, she reportedly had a bite mark on her arm.

Court documents also state that while Mr. Bussard was determined to be the aggressor, he was also injured. He had a broken hand and marks on his neck.

He also had a previous domestic violence conviction in Youngstown Municipal Court on March 29, 2011.
