World famous organist will today

at Salem First Friends Church

SALEM - World famous organist, Hector Olivera, will be in concert at 7 p.m. today at the First Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Ave.

Olivera will perform on the Roland Electronic Organ and make it sound like a full orchestra, big band, jazz band, and pipe organ. Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased by calling the church at 330-332-0001.

Rally Day scheduled Sept. 22 at

Columbiana Grace Church

COLUMBIANA - Rally Day is Sept. 22 at Grace Church featuring the sermon, "Do You Care About Lost Things?" Sunday school starts at 9:30 a.m. with children's classes through high school and three adult classes.

Worship begins at 10:45 a.m. featuring a skit titled "The Lost Sheep." Coffee hour follows with cake and punch available.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will

sponsor The Banquet in Salem

SALEM - The Banquet in Salem will celebrate its 10th-year anniversary from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building on East State Street.

The meal will be sponsored by the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, one of the founding members. Dinner includes hot turkey sandwiches, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, applesauce, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit and ice cream sundaes. Additional sponsors are needed. Food pantry will be open Sept. 25

at East Palestine Grace Lutheran Church

EAST PALESTINE The food pantry at Grace Lutheran Church, 87 W. Grant St., will be open from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Sept. 25. The pantry is open to East Palestine School District residents only.

'Soup to go' will be available Oct. 2 at

Robbins United Methodist Church

WASHINGTONVILLE - "Soup to go" will be available on the first Wednesday of the month, beginning Oct. 2, at the Robbins United Methodist Church, 100 High St.

Quarts of homemade soups in different varieties will be sold at $6 each at the "drive-thru" pick-up from 3 to 5 p.m. For more information call 330-427-2035.

Chicken and gravy over biscuit dinners

will be served at Ellsworth Presbyterian

ELLSWORTH - Chicken and gravy over biscuit dinners will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 29 at Ellsworth Presbyterian Church, 11171 Akron-Canfield Road. Dinners include mashed potatoes, a vegetable, dessert and beverage.

Annual craft show scheduled Nov. 16

at the St. Jude Activity Center

COLUMBIANA - St. Jude Women's Guild is sponsoring its annual St. Jude Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 16 in the St. Jude Activity Center, 180 Seventh St.

The show features handcrafted and homemade items, a Chinese auction, bake sale and prize raffle.

Support group for the bereaved will

be held Sept. 22 & 29 at St. Jude Church

COLUMBIANA - "Seasons of Hope," a support group for the bereaved, will meet at 4 p.m. Sept. 22 and 29 at St. Jude Church.

Centenary United Methodist Church

featuring Great Pumpkin Patch

EAST PALESTINE - Centenary United Methodist Church will feature its annual Great Pumpkin Patch located on the front lawn at the church at 40 S. Market St.

There will be various items for sale, including pumpkins of all shapes and sizes and other seasonal decorations. The Pumpkin Patch will be open Sept. 21 through Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to dusk on Mondays through Saturdays and also from noon to dusk on Sundays.

All proceeds support the United Methodist Youth Fellowship Fund. For more information call 330-426-2629.

North Lima Mennonite Church will

be serving breakfast buffet Sept. 28?

NORTH LIMA - A breakfast buffet will be available from 7 to 10 a.m. Sept. 28 at the North Lima Mennonite Church.

Donations will be accepted for the all-you-can-eat buffet which include eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, and beverages. For more information call the church at 330-549-2333.

Blackwood Quartet will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sept. 29 at the church. Admission is free, however, a free-will offering will be taken.

Men of Faith 'Rally in the Valley 2014'

will be held today at Das Dutch Haus

COLUMBIANA - The Men of Faith "Rally in the Valley 2014" monthly meeting begins at 8 a.m. today at Das Dutch Haus, 150 E. state Route 14. The theme is "Standing in the Presence of Greatness" by speaker David Kohout. Special music will me provided by Ohio Valley Teen Challenge Choir. The honoree for the day is Joe Greasel. All canned goods collected will go to St. Vincent's De Paul in Leetonia.

The first team meeting for Rally 2014 begins at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Leesburg Church of God of Prophecy, 2396 Leesburg-Grove City Road, Mercer, Pa.
