LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Monday, Ryan Wade Virden, 25, Spillway Road, Lisbon, was bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury on a felonious assault charge for allegedly striking Levi D. Pollock in the back with a bat and leaving him lying in the grass near the intersection of state Route 172 and Spillway Road on Aug. 10. Pollock was transported by KLG to St. Elizabeth Hospital due to his injuries. Bond is set at $50,000 recognizance with the condition Virden have no further contact with Pollock.

William M. Blakovich II, 47, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, waived his right to an extradition hearing so he can be returned to Beaver County, Pa., where he faces a probation violation hearing.

Aaron M. Pierson, 23, Monroeville Heights, Salineville, had his license suspended for six months, was sentenced to 25 days in jail and given credit for five days served for drug paraphernalia after he was found running from a home where a warrant was being served in Wellsville with two syringes in his pockets on Sept. 11.

Cory M. Adams, 21, Center Avenue, Lisbon, was fined $300, credited with one day served in jail and required 80 hours community service for driving under FRA suspension, assured clear distance and falsification after he gave a false statement on Friday to Lisbon police during a traffic stop.

Shantel M. Temple, 24, Center Avenue, Lisbon, was fined $150 for falsification for giving a false statement to a Lisbon police officer during a traffic stop on Friday.

Katherine A. Brasseur, 46, Overhill Road, Boardman, was fined $100 for unsafe vehicle amended from speeding.

Cory L. Wallace, 29, Jones Drive, Salem, was fined $100 and required 50 hours community service for no license.

John L. Beaver Jr., 37, Etruria Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for no license.

Ryan L. Altomare, 20, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, was fined $100 for an equipment violation amended from peeling tires.

A Sept. 23 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Joseph G. Procick IV, 22, West Salem Street, Columbiana, cited with possession of drugs (Adderall), possession of instruments to ingest or inhale controlled substances, driving under FRA suspension and loud exhaust.

A Sept. 23 pretrial was set for Geoffrey F. Cody, 28, Hartley Salem Road, Salem, charged with assault. According to court documents, Cody's 80-year-old grandmother reported he has a drug problem and had been harassing, threatening her and physically abusing her to obtain both money and rides to obtain drugs. When she denied him on Sept. 11, Cody allegedly threw a telephone at her, striking her in the head. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.

Additionally, Cody was fined $150 for assured clear distance in an unrelated matter.

A Sept. 26 pretrial was set for Shawn M. Cunningham, charged with theft for allegedly taking $21 in cash from a vehicle on Fourth Street in Wellsville on Sept. 11.

An Oct. 8 pretrial was set for Eric D. Ross, 46, Youngstown, cited with failure to control.

An Oct. 17 pretrial was set for Gary Lee Woolmaker, 52, Cannons Mill Road, East Liverpool, cited with driving under a 12-point suspension and traffic control devices.

An Oct 17 pretrial was set for Michael S. Rickard, 30, Opal Drive, Wellsville, cited with a miscellaneous wildlife violation for allegedly hunting Canada Geese on Sunday with a shotgun capable of holding more than three shells.

An Oct. 21 pretrial was set for Joseph A. Scheibert, 31, Washington Street, East Palestine, cited with OVI first offense, traffic control devices, hit skip and failure to control.

An Oct. 22 pretrial was set for Tony R. Barnes, 38, Annesley Road, East Liverpool, charged with menacing for allegedly leaving numerous messages on the phones of Harold Hill and Brenda Mayfield threatening each of them with bodily harm.

An Oct. 24 pretrial was set for Michael R. Windle, 32, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon, cited with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing Casey Reynolds by the neck and punching her in the nose and splitting her upper lip.

An Oct. 31 pretrial was set for Michael J. Fowler, 35, North Vine Street, Columbiana, cited with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of instruments to ingest or inhale a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and driving under FRA suspension. According to court documents, Fowler had a three-inch blade in the side compartment of his driver's door, a marijuana bowl and a baggie of marijuana in his pocket during a traffic stop Saturday by New Waterford police.

A Nov. 4 pretrial was set for Nicholas R. Mulch, 33, state Route 14, East Palestine, cited with OVI first offense and marked lanes.

A Nov. 7 pretrial was set for Larry Harris, McAllister Road, Lisbon, cited with failure to register a dog.

A Dec. 3 pretrial was set for David J. Felger, 24, West Martin Street, East Palestine, cited with driving under suspension and tail lights.

A Dec. 17 pretrial was set for Brian Frederick, 51, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, cited with driving under a 12-point suspension.
