Howard L. “Bud” Iden

EAST ROCHESTER - Howard L. "Bud" Iden, 86, of East Rochester, died July 28 at his home.

He was born Sept. 30, 1926, in Greenup, Ill., the son of the late Loyal and Ruth (Leggett) Iden.

Mr. Iden was a World War II veteran serving in the Army in the European Theater. He was a carpenter before going to work at the Chrysler Corporation in the early 1960s, retiring as a foreman in the shipping department in the 1980s. He also served on the Beloit Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Marguerite Ruth (McDonald) Iden, whom he married June 20, 1948; his children, Carol Lee McClish and Lee (Darlene) Iden of East Rochester, Paul Iden of Boardman, and Jodene (Lewis) Shafer of Sebring; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gayle Norton of New Alexander; and a brother, Veryl Iden of Minerva.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were handled by the Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home of Sebring.
