DAHS 1963 schedules 50th graduation anniversary weekend
LISBON - The David Anderson High School Class of 1963 has scheduled a weekend of activities to mark its 50th graduation anniversary. Kicking off the festivities at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13 is a bonfire gathering at the home of classmate Dick Zitto, 123 N. Cross St., Columbiana. Attendees should bring a chair and beverage. S'mores will be provided.
At 6 p.m. Sept. 14, classmates and their "significant others" will enjoy a dinner (from the menu) at Mark's Landing on state Route 172, Guilford Lake. Entertainment will be provided by classmate Larry White and his former band-mate Roger Lowery.
The weekend will wrap-up on Sept. 15 with the annual picnic at classmate Gene Schnader's Party Barn, 15210 W. Pine Lake Road, Salem. Anyone from DAHS classes of 1960-69 is invited. The picnic begins at 2 p.m. Chicken florentine, iced tea, lemonade, ice and table service will be provided. Those attended are asked to bring a coverdish to share and other beverages, if desired.
Washingtonville church to distribute school supplies
WASHINGTONVILLE - Book bag and supplies will be provided to Leetonia School students in grades kindergarten to eighth, from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 14, or until supplies are gone, at the Robbins United Methodist Church, 100 High St. Those attending must bring their report card or other student identification.
