Briana Loren Garcia to become bride of Craig Ryan Berger

Rigoberto and Sandra Garcia of San Dimas, Calif., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Briana Loren Garcia, to Craig Ryan Berger of Catonsville, Md., formerly of Salem. He is the son of Frank and Lori Berger of Salem.

The bride-elect received her bachelor's of arts degree in psychology and a master's of social work degree from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif. She is employed as a clinician and facilitator on the staff of Hillsides Wraparound Program in Pasadena, Calif.

The prospective bridegroom received his bachelor's of arts degree in political science from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. He also received a master's of science degree in student affairs in higher education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He is employed as coordinator of campus and civic engagement at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in Baltimore, Md.

The couple is planning to be married on Oct. 5, 2013, in Baltimore.

Invitations will be issued for a December celebration reception in Salem, as well as a wedding celebration ceremony on Aug. 2, 2014, in San Dimas, Calif.
