2 women plead guilty to assault

LISBON - Two women whose unruly behavior including spitting on local public safety personnel in two different municipalities pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.

Chelsey D. Beebout, 25, Oakwood Drive, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to assault and harassment with a bodily substance. According to court documents, Beebout on Feb. 25 spit repeatedly in the face of Capt. Patrick Wright, an East Liverpool police officer. She also struck him in the leg twice and pinched him in the upper leg while she was being arrested for intoxication.

She faces up to two and a half years in prison and a $7,500 fine. Sentencing was set for Sept. 27.

Megan Cameron, 27, Youngstown, pleaded guilty to assault. Court documents state she harmed Samantha Works, who was serving in her official capacity as EMS, on June 17, 2012 in New Waterford, when Cameron reportedly kicked her and spit at her.

Cameron faces up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine. Sentencing was set for Sept. 30.
