Farmers Market held at Women's Club
COLUMBIANA - A Farmers Market, featuring organically grown produce, is open from 5 to 8 p.m. every Monday at the Columbiana Women's Club. Pantry items are also available.
School clothing sign-ups planned
SALEM - Sign-ups begin next week for Church Women United of Salem's annual back-to-school clothing event at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Education Building, 251 S. Broadway Ave.
Sign-ups will be accepted at the education building from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. July 24 and 25; from 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 6 p.m. July 26; and from 1 to 3 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. July 31. No childcare is provided during sign-ups.
The clothing giveaway is open to children of low-income families in the Salem School District only who are entering Headstart through eighth grade.
Parents (or guardians) must bring two proofs of income and residency, the child's name, age, birth date and school grade.
Salem 1962 lunch set at Salem Hills
SALEM - Salem High School Class of 1962 will meet for a luncheon a 12:30 p.m. July 25 at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.
Salem Saxon Retirees to meet Aug. 7

Barborak to host town hall meetings
COLUMBUS - State Rep.Nick Barborak (D-Lisbon) will host another series of town hall meetings throughout Columbiana County. In addition, Rep. Barborak will hold office hours throughout the county.
Town hall meetings are scheduled for:
July 24: Leetonia Community Library, 7 to 8 p.m.
Aug. 27: Wellsville/Yellow Creek Township, 5 to 6 p.m.
Sept. 3: East Palestine Public Library, 6 to 7 p.m.

July 20: Friends Roastery in Salem, 8:30 a.m.
Aug. 1: Columbiana County Fair, 2 p.m.
Aug. 7: East Liverpool, Calcutta YMCA, 6 p.m.
Barborak will discuss issues affecting both the county and the state at these meetings, including the recently passed state budget. He will also talk with constituents about any issues they would like addressed. All town hall meetings and office hours are open to the public.
United 1967 covered dish picnic planned
HANOVERTON - The United High School Class of 1967 is having a covered dish picnic at 5 p.m. July 27 at the pavilion (state park) on Teegarden Road, Guilford Lake. Those attending are asked to bring a coverdish, table service and beverage. For more information call 330-692-1858.

Breakfast buffet set at Salem Masons
SALEM-A public breakfast buffet will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. July 27 at the Salem Masonic Building, 788 E. State St. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under age 10 and free for children under 2. The menu offers pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade sausage gravy, biscuits, homefries, toast, fruit cocktail, orange juice, coffee and tea. The building is equipped with a handicapped accessible elevator. Proceeds will be directed to the Salem Masonic Building Fund.
Sebring schools town hall meeting planned
SEBRING - A town hall meeting to express your concerns about Sebring Local Schools is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 6 at Heritage Oaks Banquet Center, 230 S. 12th St. The public is invited to participate. Pat DeLuca of the DeLuca Show will moderate.
Grande Parade to honor Korean War vets
SALEM - In the 60th year anniversary of its armistice, the Salem Grande Parade is honoring all Korean War veterans for their service to our country. If you are one of these veterans, you are invited to this special event beginning at 4 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 892, 496 Arch St., for a traditional summertime meal provided by the post. There will also be time for conversation and reminiscing, planned news coverage, and a group photo; (you will receive a copy of at a later date.)
At 5:10 p.m., veterans will take a seat on a decorated float compliments of KLG Ambulance. The police will escort the float to the parade line-up area. The parade begins at 6 p.m. The float will be led by the VFW Color Guard surrounded by American flags, fellow veterans and a procession of vintage military vehicles from the Marlboro Volunteer Inc., sponsored by the Sons of AMVETS Post #45 and the VFW Men's Auxiliary Post #892 of Salem. All veterans will be returned to the VFW on Arch Street at approximately 7:30 p.m.
