Car wash will benefit Leetonia Little Bears

LEETONIA - A car wash scheduled 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 14 at the Leetonia Dairy Queen will benefit the Little Bears football/cheerleader program.

Donations will be accepted with funds raised going toward new equipment and cheerleader warm-up outfits.

Friends of Beaver Creek will meet today

Amateur Radio Assoc. will meet July 11

SALEM - The Salem Area Amateur Radio Association has canceled its regular meeting on July 4.

The next meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. July 11 in the Quaker Room at the Salem Public Library. Topics to be discussed will include communications for the upcoming Grand Parade the I-Fest. New members and guests are welcome.

Salem High Class of 1972 will meet

SALEM The Salem High School Class of 1972 plans to meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.

Fairfield Township Trustees meet Saturday

SUMMITVILLE - Franklin Township trustees will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Summitville Fire Hall.

Salem Lisbon KOA hosting car shows.

SALEM - Car shows will be held monthly at the Salem Lisbon KOA, 33807 Winona Road. The summer cruise-ins will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6; from 5 to 8 p.m. July 8 and Aug. 12; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14.

There will be concessions, music and trivia, and the poolside pavilion will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost is $1 per person for the fish and swim special.

Classes of 1959-60 holding a picnic

COLUMBIANA - The Fairfield-Waterford classes of 1959 and 1960 will meet for a picnic on July 8 at the home of Janet and Ernie Keslar of East Palestine.

COLUMBIANA - Women of His Vision is a group of women from Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties that meets on the second Saturday of each month at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana. The next meeting is slated from 8 to 10 a.m. July 13.

Strawberry festival scheduled July 20

SALEM The public is invited to a strawberry festival from 4:30 to 7 p.m. July 20 at the Salem Masonic Building,788 E. State St.

The menu offers a variety of hot sandwiches, salads, cake, strawberries, ice cream and beverages. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children and free for under 3.

Crisis Center offering educational course

YOUNGSTOWN - The Help Hotline Crisis Center is offering a free 10-week mental health educational course called "Building Recovery and Individual Dreams, Goals, Education and Support (BRIDGES) starting July 29.
