SALEM - Richard N. Beatty Jr., 60, of Lisbon, died at 11:04 p.m. Friday at Salem Community Hospital.
He was born May 25, 1953 in Salem, a son of the late Richard N. and Sylvia G. (Styron) Beatty Sr.
Mr. Beatty lived his life in the Salem, Columbiana and Lisbon areas. He was a 1971 graduate of David Anderson High School and attended Kent State University Salem regional campus studying art. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He had been employed at Columbiana Parks Department, East Palestine China, Humtown Pattern and repaired appliances.
He is survived by siblings, Virginia Freed of Lisbon, Nancy House, with whom he resided in Lisbon; Betty Beatty of Kathleen, GA., Debra Mohr of Salem, Linda Beatty of Salem, and Tina Oates of Columbus.
Services will be at noon Thursday the Faith Fellowship Church. Pastor Larry Paxson of the church will be officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. The Salem Honor Guard will provide full military honors at the conclusion of the services.
