West Branch board to meet at Perkins

BELOIT - The Board of Education of West Branch Local School District will hold a special meeting study session at 5 p.m. Monday at Perkins Restaurant, 20040 Harrisburg-Westville Road. Board members will continue discussions regarding school funding and long term planning.

Craft camps set at Community Center

SALEM - A computer and scrapbook expert will lead the Tuesday Camp group through crafts, card making, embossing, recipe books, glass jewelry, etc. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 25, July 2, 16 and 30, Aug. 13 and 27, and Sept. 10 and 24 at the Salem Community Center. Cost is $5 for members and $6 for non-members. To register call 330-332-5885.

Grace Lutheran Church Food Pantry open

EAST PALESTINE - The Grace Lutheran Church Food Pantry, 87 W. Grant St., will be open to distribute food from 9:30 to 11 a.m. June 26 for East Palestine School District residents.

County archive board to meet June 27

LISBON - The Columbiana County Archive and Research Center's quarterly board meeting begins at 7 p.m. June 27 at 129 S. Market St.

Salem Quaker City Band performance set

SALEM - Salem Quaker City Band opens its summer concert season at 6 p.m. June 30 with a performance at the Waterworth Memorial Park. The program will have a patriotic theme and include old favorites like John Philip Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever" and Carmen Dragon's arrangement of "America the Beautiful." Guest artist Eric Bable will perform a selection on euphonium.

No June breakfast for Leetonia 1958-61

LEETONIA - The Leetonia High School classes of 1958-61 will not meet for breakfast in June. The next meeting begins at 9 a.m. July 18 at the Depot Road home of Herb and Joyce Bott.

Blood drive planned at Salem Hospital

SALEM - Salem Community Hospital and the Salem Community Center are co-sponsoring an American Red Cross blood drive from 1 to 7 p.m. July 5 at the SCC, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave. Individuals who have not given blood since May 10 are eligible to donate. Donors will receive an American Red Cross baseball hat, while supplies last, and a free day pass to the SCC. To make an appointment to donate call 330-332-7227. Walk-ins will be accepted.

Swim lessons set at Community Center

SALEM - The Salem Community Center will host another session of the American Red Cross Swim Lesson program from July 8 on Mondays through Thursdays to July 18. Six Learn to Swim levels are available, along with a Mommy and Me level for infants and their parent. Cost is $70 for non-members and $55 for members. A multiple child discount is available. Blood pressure checks offered at library

COLUMBIANA - Visiting Nurse Cindy Mitchell will offer free blood pressure screenings from 10 a.m. to noon July 9 at the Columbiana Public Library. No registration is required.

East Palestine 1970-71 reunion planned

EAST PALESTINE - The East Palestine High School classes of 1970 and 1971 will hold a class reunion on Aug. 10 at Antone's Banquet Center in Boardman. The classes of the 1970s will celebrate a fun-filled weekend of golfing, school tours and dinner. For more information call Carolyn Dilworth Wilson at 330-426-9960.

Dutch Village Inn plans blood drive

COLUMBIANA - The Dutch Village Inn Banquet Department is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive from 2 to 6 p.m. July 1. The bloodmobile will be located at the front parking lot of the inn at 150 E. state Route 14.

Donors will receive a Red Cross baseball cap and complimentary lemonade and cookies from the inn after donating. For more information contact Tracey Sevenich at the Dutch Village Inn at 866-482-5050 Ext. 412.

Salem 1983 reunion scheduled for July 19

SALEM The 30th reunion for the Salem High School Class of 1983 starts at 7:30 p.m. July 19 with a "Get Together" at the Italian American Club on Penn Avenue. The event continues on July 20 with golfing at Salem Hills. For T-times which start at 10 a.m. contact Marti Wendel at 330-853-4055. Cost is $20 per person. A social hour and drinks follows at 6 p.m. at the Salem Elks on East State Street, the class picture at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Cost is $35 per person.
