Breakfast buffet offered by Salem Masons

SALEM-A public breakfast buffet will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Masonic Building, 788 E. State St.

Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under age 10 and free for children under 2. The menu offers pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade sausage gravy, biscuits, homefries, toast, fruit cocktail, orange juice, coffee and tea. The building is handicapped accessible. Proceeds will be directed to the Salem Masonic Building Fund.

Salem 1950 to meet for breakfast

SALEM - The Salem High School Class of 1950 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. June 26 at Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.

Canfield AARP plans summer luncheons

CANFIELD - Canfield Area AARP #3104 will host its summer luncheon at 1 p.m. July 1 at Ala Carte. Reservations may be made by calling 330-533-3528. The fee of $12.50 and your choice of entree must be made by June 27.

A bus trip is planned on June 25 to Mansfield to tour the Ohio State Reformatory, Kingwood Gardens, Malabar Farm and Carousel Park (330-332-4791) and Wooster on July 27 for Ohio Light Opera's production of "Silk Stockings" which features Cole Porter songs (330-337-7133). Information will be available at the August meeting for trips planned Sept. 17 to Elk, Pa. and Pymatuning area venues, plus Oct. 9-12 to Renfo Valley, Ky. Guests are welcome at the meetings and bus trips. The board meeting in July has been canceled.

Guilford Lake Civic Association to meet

GUILFORD LAKE - The Guilford Lake Civic Association will meet at 7 p.m. June 27 p.m. at the Guilford Lake Ruritan Hall on Route 172.

The 31st annual Fourth of July Guilford Lake boat parade begins at 2 p.m. July 4 at the Judges Review Stand at the boat launch area on Shore Lane. The awards ceremony follows at 5 p.m.

New Waterford council to meet Tuesday

NEW WATERFORD - Village council will meet in special session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to take action on water and sewer legislation, local government legislation and a road use maintenance agreement. A finance committee meeting will follow the special meeting.

Salem school board to meet June 28

SALEM - The Salem Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7:30 a.m. June 28 at the administration building to review the 2012-2013 school year financial closeout and to hire personnel.
