SALEM - Albert T. Hartley, 90, of Salem, died at 2 a.m. Thursday at the home of his son.
He was born Sept. 8, 1922, in Barnesville, the son of the late Arthur and Mary E. (Whinnery) Hartley.
Mr. Hartley was the owner of Hartley Orchard for 40 years and was a founding member of the Bible Holiness Chapel.
His wife, Clara E. (Warrington) Hartley, whom he married Dec. 14, 1945, preceded him in death on April 18, 2008.
Survivors include sons, Donald E. (Jill) Hartley of Barnesville and Bruce E. (Cindy) Hartley of Lexington, N.C., Burton L. (Becky) Hartley and Marcus P. (Cindy) Hartley, both of Leetonia; daughters, Doris M. (John) Rector of Comanche, Okla., and Rita S. (Garreth) Johnson of Fayette; a sister, Flora Simms of Sebring; 20 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lester K. Hartley.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Wesley Hunting and the Rev. Dan Parker officiating.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Bible Holiness Chapel Cemetery.
