LISBON - Dorothy Heck-Crago, 40, Butcher Road, Leetonia, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to 10 counts of forgery, each a fourth-degree felony. Sentencing is set for Aug. 15, when she faces up to 15 years in prison. According to court documents, Heck-Crago reportedly forged 10 checks belonging to the account of Shirley J. Johansen, a 62-year-old customer at Farmers National Bank. The checks totaled $1,095.
Francis E. Shriver, 36, Steubenville, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools. Sentencing is set of Aug. 9. He faces up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Shiver reportedly was found inside Lease Drug Store, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, on Jan. 14. The front window was shattered and Shriver was found to have a black back pack with a hammer, screw driver and pen and flashlight combination unit next to the window.
