LISBON - Edward B. Chamberlain, 88, of Lisbon, died at 1:38 p.m. Thursday at Salem Community Hospital following a recent illness.
Born Nov. 13, 1924, in Lisbon, he was the son of the late William F. and Mary (Thorton) Chamberlain.
Mr. Chamberlain was an electrician for 30 years at NRM, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Trinity Friends Church and served in the U.S. Army, at the end of World War II.
He was preceded in death Jan. 12, 2013, by his wife, Annabelle (Smith) Chamberlain, whom he married Sept. 2, 1950.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie L. Chamberlain.
Survivors include two sons, Steve (Marilyn) Chamberlain of Salem and Jon (Pam) Chamberlain of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Josephine (Joe) Pugia of Chetsworth, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Trinity Friends Church, 33937 U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, with the Rev. Richard Jones of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
