LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court David J. Murphy, 22, Westville Lake Road, Beloit, was sentenced to 171 remaining days in jail and fined $300 for assault and disorderly conduct. Court documents state Murphy appeared passed out on the ground in the 100 block of Railroad Street in Salem on May 19 and when police spoke to him, got up, began yelling and assaulted a police officer. A resisting arrest charge was dismissed.

Rodney F. McDowell, 68, Alderlick Road, Wellsville, was fined $725, had his license suspended for 180 days and was sentenced to three days in driver's school for OVI first offense and failure to control.

Xin Xiang Zheng, 54, Girard, was fined $300, had his license suspended for a year and sentenced to three days in driver's school for speeding and second offense reckless operation amended from OVI third offense.

Andrew J. Graber, 21, North Canton, was fined $200 and required 30 hours community service for hit skip and failure to control.

Joseph D. Davis, 51, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, was fined $150 for no license amended from driving under FRA suspension.
