EAST PALESTINE - Deloris L. McCormick, 81, of West North Avenue, died at 7 a.m. Monday at the Caprice Health Care Center, North Lima, where she had resided for the past three years.
She was born July 26, 1931 in Negley, a daughter of the late John and Thelma Tennis Sansenbaugher, and was a lifelong resident of the area. She had at one time been employed with area businesses, including the former Pittsburgh Chair and L.W. Nash Co.
She is survived by her husband, William A. McCormick, whom she married Oct. 7, 1957; three sons, Michael (Renee) McCormick and Daniel McCormick, both of East Palestine, and David (Brenda) McCormick of Golden Valley, Ariz. She also leaves two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; siblings, sisters Ruth Evans of Negley and Ginger (Wayne) Kelvington and a brother Jack (Dean) Sansenbaugher, both of East Palestine.
The funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark McTrustry of the Centenary United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the time of service.
