-LEETONIA - St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 29 Spruce St. will celebrate Music Sunday during the 10:15 a.m. worship service on Mother's Day, May 12. Former choir members and others will join the choir for two anthems. The Men's Quartet and the Joyful Ringers Bell Choir will also perform.
-SALEM - A garage sale will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 244 S. Broadway Ave. The public is invited from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 17, and 9 a.m. to noon May 18.
-EAST PALESTINE - Centenary United Methodist Church at 40 S. Market St. will host the popular Southern gospel group, The Keelings, at 7 p.m. May 19. The event, which will be held in the church sanctuary, is open to the public. Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item that will be donated to a local food bank. -SALEM - The Emmanuel Lutheran Church's Youth Group will hold a yard sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 18 in the Education Building on South Broadway Avenue. Items available include books, decorations, glassware, VCR tapes, CDs, toys, clothes, brand new items, etc.
-DAMASCUS - The children of the Damascus United Methodist Church will present their annual Kids In Service program during the 10:10 a.m. worship service on Sunday. They will be present the musical, "Amerikids. Each child will present their mother with a special Mother's Day gift. The church is located at 300 Valley Road.
-NEW WATERFORD - A carryout dinner is being held to benefit the East Fairfield United Methodist Church Relay for Life team. The dinner will be served from 3 to 6 p.m. May 16 at the church, 45675 state Route 558, New Waterford. The menu offers chicken cordon bleu, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy and a dessert.
