Junior J. Adams

EAST PALESTINE - Junior J. Adams, 88, of Neeld Road, died at 11:45 a.m. Sunday at Vibra Hospital of Mahoning County, where he had been a patient.

He was born Sept. 30, 1924 in Coshocton, a son of the late Joseph and Hattie Chaney Adams, and had resided in this area since 1947, coming from the Coshocton area

He had been employed as a truck driver with the former Pure Oil Dealership, as well as Herriott Trucking, both of East Palestine. He had been a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, New Waterford, and had been a member of the East Palestine Volunteer Fire Department in the 1960s.

His first wife, Dora May Franklin, whom he married Oct. 18, 1945, preceded him in death on Jan. 8, 1967. His second wife, Etta Fern Franklin Sundheimer, whom he married in 1981, preceded him in death on Jan. 28 of this year.

Mr. Adams is survived by four sons, Edgar J. Adams at home, Stephen (Nora Lee Worsencroft) Adams of Poland, Ralph (Wanda) Sundheimer Jr. of Ragersville, and Robert (Doreen) Sundheimer of Fresno; and three daughters, Charlotte M. (Ron) Ogg of East Palestine, Melinda Sue (Tom) Delo of Negley, and Jean E. (Tom) Miller of Sugarcreek. He also leaves a brother, Robert Adams, New Waterford, 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Waterford Cemetery. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the time of service.
