- John Ribblet and Don Buck, both of Darlington, Pa., reported at 7:37 p.m. Saturday they had been wade fishing in Beaver Creek about a mile south of Grimm's Bridge and found a gun in a holster in the mud along the bank. Lt. Allan Young recovered the gun, which had 16 rounds inside the magazine, but none in the chamber. Another magazine with 16 rounds was found in the holster. The serial number showed the gun had been reported stolen in Ohioville, Pa., on April 18. The gun was turned over to Ohioville patrolman Doug Edgell.

- Alliance Community Hospital reported at 11:21 a.m. Sunday a woman came into the emergency room claiming she was assaulted by her husband. The Homeworth Road woman told deputies her husband choked her to the point of unconsciousness in the driveway. He also reportedly slammed her head against the ground.
