GOSHEN TOWNSHIP- Police Thursday arrested a Goshen Township man on a warrant for felony theft for an incident earlier this month.

Sean M. Williams, 24, 11969 W. Middletown Road, Salem, was charged with one count of fifth-degree felony theft after being picked up by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and turned over to Goshen officers at 6:20 p.m. Thursday.

According to the police report, Officer David Yohman responded to the West Middletown Road home at 11 p.m. April 11 where Williams' stepfather alleged Williams had stolen and pawned several unopened tools valued at almost $1,800 that had been sitting on top of a refrigerator in the garage. After denying the charges, Williams eventually confessed to taking the tools and pawning them in Austintown.

The stepfather provided a list of items that were missing. Several of the items in question, in addition to other items pawned on the same date by Williams, were discovered at the pawn shop indicated by Williams.
