LISBON - Glen A. Rose, 74, of Adams Road, died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday at Salem Community Hospital following a recent illness.
Born Feb. 12, 1939, in Lisbon, he was the son of the late Fred G. and Helen (Strudthoff) Rose.
Mr. Rose had been employed as a heavy equipment operator with the Operating Engineers Union Local #66 for 40 years, retiring in 2001. He attended St. Jacob's United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, the former Elaine Abrams, whom he married Dec. 12, 1975; a daughter, Kelly (Terry) Lee of McComb; two sons, Gregory (Lisa) Bender of Wellsville and Scott (Debra Perry) Bender of Rogers; three brothers, Dean (Clara) Rose, Jerry Rose and David (Inez) Rose, all of Lisbon; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant daughters.
Following his wishes, private funeral services were held Tuesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Jenna Brown officiating. Burial followed in Lisbon Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Jacob's United Church of Christ, 5219 St. Jacob Logtown Road, Leetonia, Ohio 44431.
