Annual Festival of Bands set Thursday in East Palestine
EAST PALESTINE - The East Palestine Band will present its annual Festival of Bands at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school gymnasium. The program will feature all band members in grades five to 12. All high school bands including jazz, concert and marching band will perform. The concert is free at attend, however there will be a gift basket raffle to help raise money for new band uniforms.

AUSTINTOWN - The Alzheimer's Assistance and Referral Network will present an Alzheimer's Activity Workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2305 S. Catholic Charities getss grant for foreclosure assistance
YOUNGSTOWN - Catholic Charities Regional Agency has announced that the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation's Charitable Committee has approved a $2,000 grant to its organization for Foreclosure Counseling and Prevention. CCRA is a HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency with certified housing counselors who assist with foreclosure prevention activities, budgeting and default management, serving Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull counties. Mahoning Capriculturist Club discusses goat health issues
CANFIELD - The Mahoning County Capriculturist Club met in March to discuss old and new business. The first fundraiser was working a concession stand at a local dog show. The club earned over $200 that will go back to the community to help others. Members discussed goat health and diseases. A few of the topics discussed were stomach worms, common illnesses, vaccinations, how to trim hoofs, and what to feed goats. The next meeting begins at 7 p.m. April 22 at the Millcreek Metroparks Farm.
Fund started to aid family of injured Berlin Center farmer
BERLIN CENTER - A fund has been established to help with family living expenses for Russell Marshall who sustained serious injuries in a farming accident on March 23 at his home. Donations to the "Russell Marshall Benefit Fund" may be made at any Farmers Bank location.

LEETONIA- The Leetonia High School Class of 2013 will hold the annual Senior Talent Show at 7 p.m. Saturday in the high school Auditorium. Admission is $5. Proceeds from the show help to defray the costs of the Senior Class Poetry Book. Public is welcome.
Steelers' Footballers Basketball Team to play Leetonia
LEETONIA- The faculty and staff of Leetonia High School along with members of the local community will play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers at 8 p.m. April 5 in the high school gymnasium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. All tickets should be purchased in advance with cash only. Tickets will be sold between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the high school office. All advance sale tickets are discounted at $8 for both students and adults. Tickets will be $10 at the door.
