LISBON- Harriett E. Johnson, 78, of Church Hill Road, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at 1:25 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Hospice House, Poland, where she had been admitted the day before.
Harriett was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Toronto, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Dillon Glenn, and had resided in the Lisbon area since childhood. She had at one time been employed as a sales clerk with the former A & P Grocery store for 15 years.
She was a member of the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene.
Harriett is survived by her husband, Robert A. Johnson, whom she married in 1955; and four sons, Robert (Kathy) A. Johnson Jr., James (Cathy) Johnson and Dick Johnson, all of Lisbon, and Thomas (Joyce) Johnson, Canton. She also leaves four sisters, Carolyn Halverstadt, Leetonia, Marion Lynn, Lisbon, Jean Dillon, Virginia Beach, Va., and Jane Barkley, Fairmont, W.V.; and a brother, John Glenn, Lisbon. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, Rob, Marcy, Amber, Codee, Kadee, Thomas Jr., Timothy and Jesslynne; and 11 great-grandchildren, Gaige, Marissa, Kobe, Cameron, Jacob, Makenzie, Caleb, Caden, Carter, Zachery and Madelyn.
A brother, Harry Glenn, preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene, with burial to follow in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home and for one and half hours prior to the service at the church. The family has asked that material tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.
