LISBON - Richard M. Nichol, 81, of Trinity Church Road went home to be with the Lord at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Hospice House.

Born Sept. 11, 1931 in East Liverpool, he was a son of the late William Merrel and Laura Marie (Moore) Nichol.

He worked as a welder for Bliss and Fordees for many years.

Dick was a member Trinity Friends Church, its building committee, and the Lisbon Ruritan Club. He enjoyed farming.

Survivors include his wife Nancy V. (Campbell) Nichol whom he married December 19, 1959; two children, Tracy (Roger) Jones of Salineville and Brent (Kristy) Nichol of Medina and a grandson Ryan Nichol.

He was preceded in death by his son Mark, and three sisters, Jane Nichol, Alice Soltysiak, and Barbara Ann Glass.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Weber Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Jones of the church officiating. Private burial will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown, Pa. Calling hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512.
