Breakfast buffet set at Salem Masons

SALEM-A public breakfast buffet will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Masonic Building, 788 E. State St. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 10 and free for under 2. The menu offers pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade sausage gravy, biscuits, homefries, toast, fruit cocktail, orange juice, coffee and tea. The building is equipped with an elevator. Proceeds will be directed to the Salem Masonic Building Fund.

Food distribution Saturday in Winona

WINONA - A food distribution is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Winona Friends Church, 4615 Whinnery Road. This food pantry ministry is sponsored by the church and open to families and individuals residing in the United Local School District. Greenford Ruritans to plan breakfast

GREENFORD - The Greenford Ruritan Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Locust Grove Baptist Church. Plans for a pancake breakfast will be discussed. All members are urged to attend.

East Palestine council to meet Monday

EAST PALESTINE - The East Palestine Village Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. Monday at Park Community Center.

The public hearing for the rezoning issue on Park Drive starts at 7 p.m. March 26 at the Park Community Center.

Crestview building panel to meet

COLUMBIANA - The Crestview Local Board of Education Buildings and Grounds Committee meeting begins at 6 a.m. March 27 in the superintendent's office.

EP roast beef and turkey dinner planned

EAST PALESTINE - The East Palestine Alumni and Friends Scholarship Association is hosting its annual roast beef and turkey dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. April 6 at the East Palestine Elementary School cafeteria. Tickets may be purchased from any trustee. Cost is $9 for adult presale and $10 if purchased at the door. Cost is $4 for children 5 through 12 and free for 4 and under. Proceeds from the dinner are used for scholarships for East Palestine graduates.

East Palestine food pantry to open

EAST PALESTINE - The food pantry will be open to East Palestine School District residents from 9:30 to 11 a.m. March 27 at the Grace Lutheran Church.

Fish dinner planned in Berlin Center

BERLIN CENTER - Boy Scout Troop 71 is hosting its 49th annual Good Friday "all-you-can-eat fish" dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. March 29 at Western Reserve High School, 13850 W. Akron-Canfield Road (in the old building behind the new school). Cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for 5 and under. Dessert is limited to one per person. Dine in or carryout is available.

Area Singles to meet in Calcutta

CALCUTTA - Area Singles plan to meet at 6 p.m. April 3 at the Ponderosa restaurant in Calcutta. Other meetings to begin at 6 p.m. include Mark's Landing at Guilford Lake on April 10, Mason's Steakhouse in Salem on April 17 and Antone's in Columbiana on April 24.

Benefit spaghetti dinner set in Leetonia

LEETONIA - A benefit spaghetti dinner will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. April 6 at the Leetonia Eagles Club. Proceeds will be directed to Leesa Kozar who recently had a major stroke. Child Abuse Prevention Month event set

LISBON - The Columbiana County Department of Job and Family Services is inviting the public to its annual Child Abuse Prevention Month kick-off event from 11 to 11:30 a.m. April 10 at the gazebo on the square in front of the court house, 105 S. Market St. The theme is "Communities - Caring for Kids." This year's guest speaker is Ginger Wilczak with Families and Children First Council.
