COLUMBIANA- 34west Theater premieres their newest doo-wop comedy "Sock Hops and Soda Pops" March 20-23, April 17-20 and May 1-4, with special weekday matinees March 20-21, April 17-18, and May 1-2.

Murphy's Diner is rockin' around the clock in an all new blast-from-the-past musical.

"The show is similar to the Broadway favorites 'Mama Mia' and 'Jersey Boys,'" says 34west Artistic Director Jeff Querin.

What does a love-struck southern belle, a greaser and a washed-up Vegas act have in common? Murphy's Diner may close for good without the help of some trusty friends willing to save the day.

"When audiences aren't laughing themselves silly, they're clapping and singing along," says Querin. "Sometimes laughing, clapping AND singing at the same time!"

Known for creating original new plays and musicals, like last year's sell-out "Doo Wops and Beauty Shops," audiences are thrilled 34west has created an all-new '50's show with more be-boppin' tunes.

"Groups have been reserving tables months in advance," states Querin. "Even booking multiple nights!"

Das Dutch Village Inn provides a four-course meal featuring a buffet-style dinner with three entrees, assorted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Also included in the meal are a variety of fine desserts and a low-sugar option. Groups can sit eight or 10 persons to a table, which makes for great enjoyment with friends and family throughout the evening.

All dinner theaters are held in the elegant banquet center of Das Dutch Village Inn of Columbiana, 150 E. state Route 14. Seating for evening shows begins at 6:45 p.m. with a four-course meal beginning at 7 p.m. Seating for matinees begins at 11:45 a.m. with a four-course meal at noon. Tickets are $45 ($40 matinee); discount given for groups of eight or more.
