COLUMBIANA - Neil Emerson Johnson, 92, formerly of the Youngstown area, died Tuesday at Hospice House in Poland.
Born Feb. 11, 1921, in Youngstown, he was the son of the late Charles V. and Mame (Orr) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was the owner and operator of Neil E. Johnson Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of the Lockwood United Methodist Church in Youngstown. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps..
His wife the former, Mary E. Evans, whom he married Sept. 7, 1944, died May 23, 1991.
Survivors include a son, Neil E. (Linda) Johnson of Ardmore, Okla.; a daughter, Jane Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his companion, Margaret Cockman.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lockwood United Methodist Church with Pastor David Hill officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boardman.
Friends may call from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Arrangements were handled by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home of Columbiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood United Methodist Church or to the Hospice of the Valley.
