- Heather Defilippo reported a possible domestic dispute at a home on state Route 170 in Middleton Township at 9:22 a.m. Saturday. The deputy spoke with the woman who lived there, and she said her husband threw her on the bed and held her down by the neck, and then he struck her and pulled her hair. The husband was gone by the time an officer arrived, and the woman was undecided on whether she wanted to press charges.

- Sheriff's deputies went to a home on East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, to serve a warrant on Michael Esenwein, who was found on the basement floor hiding under some clothes. Meanwhile, Amanda Wilson gave them permission to search the home and the deputies found stolen property.

- Christina Miller, Butcher Road, Leetonia, reported a suspicious odor in the neighborhood at 12:06 a.m. Saturday. A deputy remained stationary for a while but did not detect any such odor.

- Robert Marra, transportation director for the Southern Local school district, reported Thursday they are having a problem with a man who has been watching and harassing a 10-year-old girl at a bus stop on McGavern Road. The man lives in Sherwood Apartments on McGavern Road and reportedly hides behind a tree when this is going on. The bus driver told the man two weeks ago to quit hanging around.
