East Palestine school board to meet

EAST PALESTINE - Members of the East Palestine school board will meet at noon Sunday in the EPES Media Center.

United Local Booster Club to meet

HANOVERTON - United Local Athletic Booster Club's meeting begins at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school library.

Salem Public Library's Spy School set

SALEM - Children in kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to be secret agent librarians and break a code, uncover secret information and learn the tricks of the spy trade at Salem Public Library's Spy School on Feb. 18. Sessions begin at 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. Classes will include Disguises 101, Stealth Training, and Code Breaking followed by a spy mission. The program is free, but requires registration starting Feb. 11, at the library or by calling 330-332-0042, option 3.

School food director to prepare Banquet

SALEM - J.R. Straley, director of food services for Salem City Schools, will prepare the meal for the Banquet in Salem to be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building. The sponsors are the Salem High School Chapter of National Honor Society and the Spanish Club. The meal offers tomato soup, barbecue ribs, homemade macaroni and cheese, tropical fruit salad, green beans, fresh fruit and vegetables and assorted desserts. Additional sponsors are needed. LISBON - The regular meeting of the Lisbon Exempted Village Board of Education begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the board room at the BOE office.

Columbiana school board to meet

COLUMBIANA - The Columbiana Exempted Village Schools Board of Education's meeting is slated at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the high school media center.

Salem 1939 lunch set at Salem Hills

SALEM The Salem High School Class of 1939 plans to meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 13 at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.

Leetonia 1962 breakfast planned

LEETONIA - Leetonia High School Class of 1962 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Feb. 15 at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana.

Deming retirees to hold breakfast

SALEM - Deming retirees and former employees are invited to breakfast at 8 a.m. Feb. 19 at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.

Salem Library book sale scheduled

SALEM - Salem Public Library's semi-annual, used book sale, sponsored by Salem Public Library Memorial Fund Association, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 2 in the gymnasium of St. Paul School, 925 E. State St. The sale will include adult fiction and non-fiction, regular and large print books, children's books, audio-visual materials, magazines and more. Women's Night Out tables available

SALEM - Vendor and/or advertising tables, sponsorship and event tickets are available for the Salem Community Center's fourth annual Women's Night Out on March 20. Women's Night Out centers around information, products and services for females of all ages. Event tickets will only be available through March 11.
