Salem Public Library's Spy School set
SALEM - Children in kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to be secret agent librarians and break a code, uncover secret information and learn the tricks of the spy trade at Salem Public Library's Spy School on Feb. 18. Sessions begin at 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. Classes will include Disguises 101, Stealth Training, and Code Breaking followed by a spy mission. The program is free, but requires registration starting Feb. 11, at the library or by calling 330-332-0042, option 3.
School food director to prepare Banquet
SALEM - J.R. Straley, director of food services for Salem City Schools, will prepare the meal for the Banquet in Salem to be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building. The sponsors are the Salem High School Chapter of National Honor Society and the Spanish Club. The meal offers tomato soup, barbecue ribs, homemade macaroni and cheese, tropical fruit salad, green beans, fresh fruit and vegetables and assorted desserts. Additional sponsors are needed.
