received a call at 1 p.m. about the leak and grabbed a worker from the water line break being fixed at Southeast and Franklin to help close the valves and stop the water flow. Three 10-inch line valves and one 8-inch line valves had to be closed and it took longer than expected. He said the recent water line breaks in Salem were the result of Mother Nature at work,
