LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a Feb. 7 preliminary hearing was set for Cynthia M. King, 29, Waynesburg, Pa., charged with aggravated vehicular assault. Court documents allege King was involved in a head-on crash on June 29, 2012 while driving westbound on state Route 172 in West Township.

Trooper Vic Wolfe of the highway patrol alleges King had marijuana metabolite in her system when she went left of center resulting in serious injuries to Agnes Yatsko, 54; Randall Dykes, 35; and Rebecca Dykes, 34.

- Jonathan M. Cobb, 21, Roosevelt Avenue, Salem, was sentenced to 90 days in jail for aggravated menacing and resisting arrest. Court documents state on July 8, 2012, Cobb threatened to steal a shotgun from a local store and start shooting people, including his mother whom he made the threats toward. Cobb then fought with police on July 9, 2012 when they came to the home during a domestic dispute.

- Donald Teets, 69, Taylor Avenue, New Waterford, was fined $250 and ordered to have no further contact with the victim for a public indecency charge. Teets had been accused of exposing himself to his son's home health care worker after offering her money on a previous occasion to perform certain sexual acts.

- Danny C. Fishel, 39, Western Reserve Road, Salem, was fined $700, had his license suspended for six months and sentenced to three days in jail for OVI first offense and speed.

- Jennifer M. White, 30, state Route 39, Salineville, was fined $675, had her license suspended for 180 days, required 10 hours community service and sentenced to 90 days in jail for failure to control and physical control amended from OVI first offense.

- Joshua JL Lapin, 23, East Fourth Street, Salem was fined $650, had his license suspended for six months, sentenced to nine days in jail and required 30 hours community service for receiving stolen property, criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct while voluntarily intoxicated, possession of marijuana and failure to reinstate his license amended from driving under suspension. According to court documents, Lapin sold to Downtown Metals and Recycling on Sept. 7, 2012, 140 pounds of chain link fencing reported stolen from the Salem City Parks Department. Additionally, he caused a disturbance at the Foxes Den Bar after he had been told not to be there, was pushing and shoving another patron outside the bar and then attempted to flee from Salem police.

- Anthony M. Gregory, 35, Mohican Trail, Negley, was fined $350 for hit skip and failure to control following a traffic accident on Jan. 23 on South Ellsworth Avenue near East State Street in Salem.

- Nico A. Baker, 20, Dyke Road, Rogers, was fined $300 for use of an unauthorized plate, failure to display a valid sticker and no license amended from driving under FRA suspension.

- Eric J. Ream, 36, Ravine Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and sentenced to 20 days in jail for falsification for giving East Palestine police his brother's personal information in an attempt to mislead them during a traffic stop last March.

- Amy Nicole Swartz, 30, Nittany Drive, Summitville, was fined $250, sentenced to three days in jail, had her license suspended for six months and required 20 hours community service for reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

- Shannon M. Quinn, 36, Columbiana-Waterford Road, Columbiana, was fined $250, had her license suspended for 270 days and was sentenced to 20 days in jail for speeding and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

- Daniel J. Seymour, 25, Andrew Avenue, Salem, was sentenced to 19 days in jail for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police were called to his Perry Township home where he was arguing with his girlfriend and family members on Jan. 1.

- Paul L. Wagner IV, 28, Plymouth Place, Salem, was fined $280, required 50 hours community service, had his license suspended for six months and was sentenced to three days in jail for driving under OVI suspension and speeding.

- Michael Merriman, 28, St. George Street, East Liverpool, was fined $160 and required 50 hours community service for driving under suspension, a turn signal violation and a seat belt violation.

- Edith M. Kelly, 35, St. Jacobs Logtown Road, Lisbon, was fined $150 for lighted lights required amended from speeding.

- Eric C. Scott, 30, Briarcliff Avenue, Alliance, was fined $150 for headlights required amended from failure to control.

- Patricia L. Bloom, 54, Benton Road, Salem, was fined $150 for driving without a valid license amended from driving under a 12-point suspension.

- Robert J. Lutman, 37, state Route 517, Lisbon, was fined $125 and required 10 hours community service for speeding and driving without a valid license amended from driving under FRA suspension.

- Veronica K. Zahrndt, 54, state Route 45, Lisbon, was fined $100 and credited with two days in jail already served for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence. Zahrndt reportedly hit her husband in the arms during a fight between them.

- David D. Packard, 40, Youngstown, was fined $100 for unsafe vehicle amended from commercial speeding.

- Jeremy J. Ferguson, 36, North Pearl Street, Columbiana, was fined $100 for lighted lights required amended from failure to control.

- John P. Smollen Sr., 54, East Street, East Palestine, was fined $50 and required to pay $105 in restitution to Glen Jones, a taxi driver, for passing a bad check on Sept. 26, 2012.

- A Feb. 14 pretrial was set for Joseph M. Leasure, 26, Kurtz Road, Minerva, charged with theft for allegedly taking jewelry from his grandmother's home on Kurtz Road on Jan. 27.

- A Feb. 19 court trial was set for Anne B. Fitzgerald, 49, Seville Lane, East Liverpool, cited with a stop sign violation.

- A March 4 pretrial was set for Britton K. Steiginga, 19, Walnut Grove Drive, New Waterford, cited with failing to stop for a stopped school bus.

- March 5 pretrials were set for Scott D. Schaefer, 37, state Route 164, Leetonia, cited with hit skip; and Siddiq T. Salahuddin, 37, Youngstown, cited with speeding.

- A March 7 pretrial was set for Travis J. Beiling, 29, Lower Elkton Road, Columbiana, charged with failure to reinstate a license and obstruction of official business for allegedly providing East Palestine police with his brother's information during a traffic stop on Dec. 15.

- A March 7 pretrial was set for Tracey L. Woods, 32, Toronto, cited with failure to control after she allegedly slid on a patch of ice and off the road on state Route 45 in Madison Township on Jan. 28.

- A March 11 pretrial was set for Brenda L. Stockman, 43, East Woodland Avenue, Columbiana, cited with speeding.

March 12 pretrials were set for Deon Costanzo, 54, Front Street, New Waterford, cited with failure to control; and Adam J. Sevek, 18, Clarks Mill Road, Salineville, cited with speeding.
